 | 01:12 am - Public Service Announcement to Ants. Dear Ants,
I hate you. Get the hell out of my house. You cannot eat the cat food. Those candies you were munching on? I bought those for me. I like them. I am mad you got your icky feet all over them and I had to throw them out and try not to shriek. Get off my desk. These crumbs are not for you to nom on. I will hunt your little ant trails down and kill you if you do not leave. Go bother my rat army, just leave me alone.
DIAF, but not in my house.
Sincerely, Emi who is very tired and would like to go to bed peacefully instead of manic-ly cleaning every surface of her house tracking down ants, and who will never be able to settle in California because of ant season. Did we mention that she's phobic of swarms? Thousands of ants = OMG WTF *splode* Current Mood: DIAFDIAFDIAFDIAF

 | 01:40 am - I </3 packing. I packing up the kitchen, which has to be the worst task ever. I'm so nervous about all the fragile things, and I've never packed up the fragiles because my mom is so good at it that she always did.
The trials and tribulations of growing up, I suppose.
But it's terribly tedious.
I have moved the TV into the kitchen and am watching Repo Man, a movie I did not expect to enjoy, but am anyway. It's sufficiently surreal for packing dishes in the kitchen at 2 am. Hooray for housemates with NetFlix.
I would like to be done, now. Kthxbai.
I went to visit my storage place today. I think it is too small, so I reserved a slightly bigger one. I really hope they'll let me transfer it.
Saturday at 3 is the deadline. Actually before that, as I have to go pick up the truck around 2. I can't wait until Saturday at 7, when I will be sitting on my air mattress with my computer on the floor in front of me and finally done with this. At that point, it becomes an adventure. Now, it's worry and work. Current Mood: @_@ Current Music: Ice Queen - Within Temptation

 | 02:54 am - It's just infinitely late at night. I've been slowly pecking away at this packing thing. I think I've gotten somewhere, but it's so hard to tell. I'm a little more organized. I found my passport! >.> Didn't know that was lost. Wups.
My main problem at the moment is limiting the amount of stuff I'm taking with me to LA. I mean seriously, Emi, don't take too much. I'm trying. I suppose I'll have to just make a pile and then be ruthless with it. It's not too bad right now... but oh the possibilities.
I've found all the beautiful arty bits that I have that I never put up here. No wonder this place never really felt like home.
Nick has this awesome rooster statue that is now mine. You should be proud. I only took the rooster and two rice-paper lanterns.
I'm trying to get rid of stuff, and it's almost working. Streamline, baby, streamline...
I've never packed myself up alone before. I've always had other people around and turned it into a crisis. Of course, I've never started packing (albeit slowly) five days before the movers come. I'm not sure it'll be done in time, but the other part of me is sure it will. My mom says it will. She says it always happens, it's magic. Mom's always right. So I'll just keep truckin at this.
Tomorrow: the kitchen. Current Mood: tired Current Music: It's all black and white. Without the white

Too bad we've been talking about this for more than a week. Too bad I'm scheduled to move at the end of THIS week.
I srsly hate my life right now. Current Mood: miserable

 | 02:04 am - OMG COMPUTER I have lost all track of space and time... This weekend has been long, but I didn't get a lot done in it. A lot of RPing, and terribly pleasing character development, but that didn't do much for my German homework.
And then, my COMPUTER came today.
It was actually really frustrating because I had to miss my voice lesson and a rehearsal to stick around here to wait for stupid UPS to deliver the thing. I couldn't go pick it up, they couldn't deliver at a time I'd be here. I actually feel really shitty about it. My professionalism looses, today.
But OMG computer. It's a desktop from Dell, so it has room for expansion when I have more money, but it already has so much space, and it's fast and it has an awesome graphics card. AND, for just a little extra, I got this totally kickass widescreen monitor. Oh. My. God. It's amazing.
Windows Vista? Sucks. I hate having to get used to YET ANOTHER OS. I was just getting a handle on XP. ;_; I guess I'll get used to it. But I hope things start coming out with compatible versions soon. iTunes, for instance. I want my music.
My housemate Nick has been really awesome about helping me get this computer and get it all set up and stuff. I seriously owe him bigtime. I think I'll take him out for sushi when I get home next month. OMG coming to the East Coast one week from now.
More later, I'm still setting this wonderful computer up.
Hope you're well, comrades. Current Mood: excited
